Ray Carns is an American writer. His short stories and flash fiction have appeared in Passages, Bourbon Penn, The Journal of Microliterature, this--a literary webzine, fictionjunkies, The Other Stories Podcast, and other online and print publications. He has had over one hundred poems published and been a featured reader for the Divergent Arts Poetry Series, appearing before audiences and on the Visual Voices television program. A short film script he wrote was optioned, but never produced. Ray has also utilized Twine to create web page hypertext fiction. Additionally he has utilized Twitter bots and other tools to create experimental works of fiction. Ray earned a Certificate of Completion in the Creative Writing Program at Phoenix College in 2012. His entries in the Maricopa Community Colleges Creative Writing Competition earned him Honorable Mention for both a one-act play and short story in 2010 and Third Place for a one-act play in 2011. The 2011 one-act play received a Certificate of National Merit from the League for Innovation in the Community College in the Student Literary Competition.
